02 — Why Bruneys
The difference.
Edges and corners
This is the one every window cleaner agrees on: a squeegee and a scrim finish edges, corners and glazing bars in a way a brush on a pole cannot. It is why the trade keeps squeegees for detail work.
No settling-in period
Pure water draws old grime and detergent out of frames and seals, and it can weep back onto drying glass for months — the trade calls it the conditioning period. Traditional never starts it.
Old and leaded glass
Small panes, glazing bars, wavy old glass and brittle decorative lead all do better under a cloth than a brush. Hand finishing is kinder and neater on anything with character.

Why traditional and not the pole?
For glass we can reach, hands give the better finish — especially at edges, corners and glazing bars. The pole was invented to solve height and safety, not to clean better.
Do you offer water-fed too?
Yes, if you would prefer it or the height calls for it. Just ask and we will sort it.
What about leaded or older windows?
One of the reasons we prefer traditional. Brittle decorative lead does not enjoy a brush run over it, and a cloth and squeegee are far kinder to old glass.
How often?
Most homes settle on every few weeks, shopfronts more often. We will recommend a rhythm once we have seen the property.
Can you do gutters and fascias too?
Yes, on the same visit. One call, one visit, one charge for the access.
Can you quote from photos?
Yes. One picture of each side of the property is normally enough — no need to arrange a visit just to get a price.
